An electric toothbrush and a musical plush toy: the products that show up most often among Amazon returns in Spain
Spain, August 2026. Spanish comparison site LotesOnline.es has analyzed more than 86,900 returned products from nearly 11,000 Amazon return lots sold in Spain, and publishes daily the only public ranking of the items Spaniards return the most.
When a customer returns a product to Amazon, in many cases that item never goes back on the shelf: it is grouped into boxes and pallets that Spanish liquidation companies buy in bulk and resell at discounts of 65% to 85% off the original price. It is a growing market, driven by the circular economy, on which almost no public data existed until now.
According to the LotesOnline.es index — built from the listings (manifests) of lots from six Spanish suppliers — the products that appear most often among returns are surprisingly domestic:
- A two-pack of Oral-B iO electric toothbrushes, present in 39 different lots.
- The Fisher-Price musical otter plush for babies, in 37 lots.
- A child safety stair gate by Safety 1st (33 lots) and a fold-down bed rail by Jané (31), a sign that baby products — hard to get right the first time — top the returns list.
- A Fermax universal door intercom, in 31 lots: the quintessential wrong technical purchase.
"Most people have no idea what happens to what they return to Amazon. Behind it there is a whole market of boxes and pallets that until now operated without transparency: each supplier published its lots on its own website and comparing was impossible. We index every catalog, show the contents of each lot with their original prices and let the buyer decide with data," explains Gustavo, founder of LotesOnline.es.
The comparison site, free to use, updates the catalogs daily, lets you search for any product inside the manifests of the lots on sale and publishes a ranking of the most returned products by category: electronics, home, toys, baby, tools or personal care, among others.
